The Scestra Living Notes arrive every Sunday: a short letter on the art of living at home, a few small things worth your attention, and a ritual to try before the week begins.
A Note
Sunday has a different light. The house is quieter, the kettle takes its time, and nothing on the list feels urgent before noon.
We started Scestra with a simple belief: the way we live at home deserves as much care as the way we present ourselves to the world. These notes are an extension of that, a weekly pause written for the hours that belong to you.
Rest is not an escape. It is a return. Each week we'll share what that looks like in practice: in the rooms we live in, the rituals we keep, and the small things that make an ordinary day feel considered.
The Sunday Ritual
Reset the bedroom. Open the window for ten minutes, even if it's cold. Put fresh sheets on the bed. Clear the bedside table down to three things: a glass of water, a book and a lamp. It takes twenty minutes, and it changes how the whole week begins and ends.
The Slow List
- To do: A long breakfast with no screens at the table.
- To notice: The first cold mornings of autumn, and how good it feels to stay under the covers five minutes longer.
- To keep: A notebook by the bed for the thoughts that arrive just before sleep.
From the Studio
